Here is a design thesis in architecture by Amanda Chin; it will have resonance for anyone who likes water – all you fish signs, myself included.  A beautiful dreamlike proposal for infrastructural water elements that cut diagonally across the island of Manhattan connecting the Hudson to the East River.  Their scale in the city are like Hausmann’s diagonal beaux arts boulevards in Paris.  And like the Moors of southern Spain (Alhambra), the design makes water omnipresent.
