Here is a cool video of the Danish architect BIG’s winning design for their country’s pavilion at the Shanghai Expo in 2010.

  1. These very cool one-off projects always leave me a little cold; like watching a well-made action movie and then coming out of the theater into the harsh light of gravity and other realities. What can this architecture really teach us about how to live, build or relate to each other? What’s the take-away? it seems like such a comodification of the context dependent (and fragile) aspects of the healthy city. very Las Vegas. As entertainment its great, but as arcitecture, thumbs down!
